Hello, my name is Joe Thor, age 54, orginally from central California.  After living for over a year in the Philippines, I have come to really love this country, especially here in San Juan in La Union province.  The people are so nice and respectful and the costs to live here are so inexpensive.   It's hard to believe that there isn't a LOT more people here from other countries!    The food is great and the weather is warm and mostly dry.    The infrastructure is developed . . . including medical care, banking and communications.  They have high speed internet here and shopping malls and fast food . . . they have almost everything that I was used to while I was living in the USA.  Did I mention that almost everything costs a lot less in the Philippines?   The main reason I wanted to move here to the Philippines is security.  I think the future living conditions in the USA will get worse . . . a lot worse.   I believe, for a lot of reasons , that I will be much safer here when the  "world crises" matures over the next year or so.         Another reason I wanted to move here is to live another lifestyle.  Life here is so much more relaxed and slower paced with a lot less things to worry about.     The lifestyle I selected, after I moved here, is to live on the beach and take up surfing.     Ah, life is tough!  hehe   You might want to move here to San Juan, the Philippines too!     I encourage you to read my other pages on the Philippines or search on other websites and see why there are many advantages to making the move.    HOW TO MOVE TO THE PHILIPPINES            READ MORE ON THE PHILIPPINES         BACK TO HOME PAGE   Email / Yahoo Messenger:  josephthor@yahoo.com Cell / Text: 639298935903 San Juan, La Union, The Philippines
